"Was there a court trial?" she questioned with a waver of unidentifiable emotion in her voice.
"No. There was no question as to my guilt with that many witnesses." he snorted, "Besides, demons are automatically guilty it would seem."
"You're not a demon, you're a magic-user that may have lost control of his abilities for a split moment." she argued.
"If that's true, then why are people so prejudiced against magic-users here? I wouldn't have had a reason to lose control if I hadn't been intimidated."

They Call it Light pt 4.After increasingly short stays in other settlements, Tarion decided to live near, but not in civilization. He found shelter in a cavern an hour's walk from the city of Aesilesst. It was a larger city, though not nearly as large as Xarin. However, the architecture did share it's design with Xarin. For the most part, it was intricately crafted stonework that often bore some meaning to the person who resided there. Tarion rarely traveled to the city, and during those few times he did, he never stayed long. He did not speak with anyone more than he was required to for his visit.
